All adults and children require the following documents to enter Costa Rica:

A valid passport. The passport has to be valid for at least 3 months after arrival date to Costa Rica. **Please check by nationality, click here**

A return ticket to exit Costa Rica (either to return to your country or to go to another country).
Exceptions:
- Nationals from El Salvador can enter with a valid passport not longer than its expiration date. The length of stay granted will not be longer than the validity of the passport.
- Nationals from Russian Federation the lenght of stay is 90 days.
Note: Minors who are not Costa Rican nationals nor legal residents in Costa Rica do not require a permit from the parents to enter/exit Costa Rica. However, they require a letter of consent duly notarized from the parent who is not accompanying the minor.
